The Industry–Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC), in collaboration with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, organized an Expert Lecture on 05 February 2026 at MGIT.
The session was delivered by Mr. Naveen G., Senior IEEE Member, Hyderabad Section, on the topic “Industry Expectations from Graduating Engineers – A Practical Insight: Student and Industry Perspective.”
During the lecture, Mr. Naveen G. addressed the gap between academic preparation and industry requirements, drawing from real-world industry experience. He emphasized that in addition to sound technical knowledge, graduating engineers must develop effective communication skills, practical exposure, and adaptability to succeed in professional environments.
The lecture provided students with valuable insights into current industry expectations and encouraged them to take a proactive approach toward skill development and career preparedness.
The event contributed to strengthening industry–institute interaction and supported MGIT’s continued efforts to enhance employability and professional readiness among students.
